Ethos Medical Spa takes an individualized, anatomy-first approach to Botox® and neurotoxin injections. Located in Monona and serving the greater Madison, WI area, Ethos focuses on appropriate dosing, facial balance, preserved expression, and natural-looking results.

Neurotoxin treatments are performed by Jill Phillips, MSN, APNP, FNP-C, a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in facial anatomy, aesthetic medicine, and individualized treatment planning. Rather than using a standard number of units or treating every face the same way, Jill evaluates facial movement, muscle strength, anatomy, previous treatment response, and your personal goals before creating a treatment plan.

Our philosophy is simple: patient over profit. Sometimes that means more treatment, sometimes less—and sometimes it means recommending something other than Botox® entirely.

Neurotoxin treatments at Ethos Medical Spa are $11 per unit for non-members and $10 per unit for Ethos members. Your total treatment cost depends on the neurotoxin selected, treatment area, muscle strength, anatomy, desired result, and number of units recommended.

Because every face moves differently, Ethos does not use a one-size-fits-all dosing approach. Your recommended treatment and anticipated cost are discussed before treatment so you know exactly what is being recommended and why.

Neurotoxins like, Botox, Dysport, Daxxify, Jeuveau, and Letybo are FDA-approved injectable treatments that temporarily relax facial muscles to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles caused by repetitive expressions.

Botox® does not have to eliminate all facial movement. A natural-looking neurotoxin treatment depends heavily on patient selection, placement, dosing, anatomy, and the desired outcome.

At Ethos Medical Spa, treatment is planned around your individual facial movement and goals. Some patients want significant softening of expression lines, while others prefer to retain more movement. Jill discusses those preferences before treatment and develops the dosing strategy accordingly.

Neurotoxin results develop gradually rather than immediately. Many patients begin noticing changes within several days, while the full effect may take approximately two weeks, depending on the product used and individual response.

Because onset can vary between Botox®, Dysport®, Daxxify®, and Letybo®, your provider will explain what to expect from the specific product selected for your treatment.

Many neurotoxin treatments last approximately three to four months, although duration varies by product, dose, treatment area, muscle activity, metabolism, and individual response. Some patients may experience shorter or longer-lasting results.

Your treatment history is useful over time. By evaluating how you respond to previous treatments, Jill can help determine an appropriate product, dose, and treatment interval for your individual goals.

Nope! You can return to your day immediately. Just avoid rubbing the area, lying flat, or doing strenuous exercise for about 4-6 hours.

Discomfort is minimal. Most clients describe it as a quick pinch. Treatments take 10-20 minutes, and no numbing is needed.

Neurotoxins are commonly used to soften dynamic expression lines caused by repeated muscle movement. Depending on individual anatomy and treatment goals, areas may include the forehead, frown lines between the brows, crow's feet, bunny lines, chin, lip area, and portions of the lower face and neck.

Neurotoxins may also have therapeutic applications in appropriate patients. Not every treatment area is appropriate for every person, which is why consultation and assessment of facial anatomy and movement are important before treatment.

There is no single number of Botox® units that is appropriate for every patient. The amount needed depends on the treatment area, facial anatomy, muscle strength, movement patterns, desired degree of movement, previous neurotoxin treatments, and individual response.
